Potomac Custom Cabinets was founded by James Harrington, who trained as an architectural woodworker in Philadelphia before relocating to the Potomac area. Over 22 years in the trade, James has built a reputation for meticulous craftsmanship and an uncompromising approach to quality that has become the hallmark of the company.
What began as a two-person shop has grown into a full-service cabinet studio serving some of the most distinguished homes in Potomac, Bethesda, Chevy Chase, and throughout Montgomery County. We visit your home, study the space, discuss your vision, and take precise measurements. This consultation is complimentary and typically takes 60 to 90 minutes. We want to understand not just what you need, but how you use the space every day.
We create photorealistic 3D renderings of your cabinetry so you can see exactly how it will look in your home. We walk you through every material, finish, and hardware option until every detail is exactly right. Revisions are included until you are completely satisfied.
Once the design is approved, our team builds your cabinetry using premium hardwoods, CNC-cut components, and traditional joinery techniques. Every piece is built to your exact specifications and inspected before it leaves the shop.
Our own installation crew handles every project. We take the time to ensure every cabinet is perfectly level, every door closes flush, and every drawer glides smoothly. Installation is always included in the price. We complete a detailed walkthrough with you before considering the project finished.
